Matching Gears – robotified old maid card game
Matching Gears is a personal project of mine. The inspiration came from my love of robots obviously and I’ve always wanted to make an actual printed, playable card game, preferably one that’s heavy on illustrations. And robots.
So I took an old children’s card game called Old Maid (a.k.a. Donkey) from my childhood and made a robot-themed version of it. It’s a very simple “find the pairs” kinda card game, which provided me with the perfect opportunity to draw a bunch of different characters. 49 in this case. I’d like to get it printed on a bigger scale and offer it for sale in the very near future.
